Great Aunt Dagmar
Lisa's Aunt Dagmar came to visit and brought Phoenix some wonderful new books to add to his library!
Meeting New People
Many of Mormor's friends wanted to meet her first grandchild (Phoenix). So, we had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory to meet Terry and Dee Dee. And, Carol and Karen came to visit (those photos will be posted later!). Also, Holly paid us a visit as well! It was nice to meet so many people who had been thinking about and praying for Phoenix to be healthy.
Bonding Time!
This was the first time that Phoenix's Morfar (grandpa) and Aunt Anna Maria got to hold Phoenix. The last they saw of him was in the NICU (both in Bend and in Portland) and holding time was very limited. So, it was a wonderful opportunity to bond with more family members!

Green Lake Wading Pool
This wading pool on the East side of Green Lake in Seattle has been around for a long time. Lisa's mom used to take her when she was a baby, too (and Lisa is turning 40, next month!). It is still quite a popular place to hang out, especially on hot days! It has a peanut shape and is made of aggregate concrete. It is drained daily and cleaned nearly every hour (according to the Green Lake website). Babies must wear diapers / swimmers, so we purchased a new pair of reusable swim diapers for Phoenix. They almost look like Speedos! And, after his time at the wading pool, we hung his suit and shirt to dry on the clothes line. For size comparison, we hung his Morfar's (grandpa's) shorts and shirt alongside! Pretty cute!
Trip to Seattle
It's been a while since we've posted. Hopefully we still have some viewers! Phoenix and Lisa were in Seattle for 2 weeks visiting Lisa's parents (Phoenix's Mormor and Morfar) and had a really good time! Phoenix was very good in the car. He slept almost the whole way. Steph took Lisa and Phoenix up to Portland. We met Lisa's mom at McMenamin's at Edgefield for lunch. We moved all of the luggage and baby gear from our truck to Lisa's mom's car and off we went! It is a 6 hour drive, total, but we made a few stops to feed, burp, and change Phoenix. He did just as well on the car ride back. Check out the photos of our visit!!
