Silly Boy... goes to the dentist and doctor

We found this Disney "Cars" folding chair on clearance at Kohl's for Phoenix. He wants to sit everywhere in it... including on top of the bed, to watch a bit of TV and look out the window! Who doesn't do that?!

He also loves window gel clings. He found these 2 small hearts and decided they would look good on his bare chest!

Phoenix went to the dentist yesterday and the doctor today for his 2 year old check ups. At the dentist we learned that although his teeth look really good, one of his top front teeth had part of the enamel sheared off during one of his frequent falls (landing on his face). I felt very badly, as I thought it was tooth decay, but it turned out to be kind of worse.

Then the next day, we went to the doctor for his 2 year "wellness" check with the last 3 shots he will need until he goes to kindergarten... YAY! Phoenix weighed in at 24 lbs. 4 oz. (he is in the 10th percentile) and he is 35 3/" tall (that is the 75th percentile). Which proved what we already knew... that he is tall and skinny! Other than that, he checked out "well".

My Easter Basket!

When I got up this morning, I got to open my Easter basket! It's like my birthday, all over again! My moms say I'm an "Easter Baby".

I got a stuffed "Buddy" (a preschool t-rex) and "Don" (a preschool pteranodon) from one of my favorite TV shows "Dinosaur Train". And, I got 2 hot wheels cars, a stuffed magnetic frog in a tin box, a new bubble making machine (that I already used up the first bottles of bubbles!), a dinosaur flashlight (that makes 6 different dinosaurs on the wall / ceiling), and CANDY!

Fun, fun, fun! I know I look "serious" in my pictures, but I really did smile... after my Mor's camera battery died!

Happy Easter, everyone!

Happy Easter! Hunting for Eggs!

My first Easter (2009) I was life flighted to Doernbecher's Children's Hospital in Portland with a life-threatening illness and last Easter (2010) I got an Easter basket, but since my Mommy (Steph) had to work, we didn't really do anything. THIS year (2011) we're starting "early"... today (Saturday, the day before Easter) we got to do an Easter egg hunt in our yard. My moms said it was because tomorrow (Easter) is supposed to be cold, windy, and raining.

My Mor (Lisa) has not turned on the sprinklers or mowed the lawn yet, in anticipation of my Easter egg hunt. I didn't really understand what we were doing at first, but I soon got the hang of it and figured out what we were doing! I still don't get WHY we were doing it, but I still had fun!

And, tomorrow, after a big breakfast, we get to decorate real hard boiled eggs... the ones I went "hunting" for today were plastic and colorful so that I could find them easier! I also will get to help my Mommy (Steph) make sugar cookies and decorate them in an Easter theme. And, I heard whispers of a cool Easter basket for tomorrow, too.

Two of my Elmo "eggs" had stretchy toy frogs in them! I like frogs! I also really like my "bee boots" that I'm wearing!

Happy 2nd Birthday Phoenix! April 6, 2011

Phoenix's birthday plans were changed when instead of a visit to Seattle (and a first trip to the zoo) when his Mormor came down to our house to help us start preparing for a move and a garage sale. We will more properly celebrate his birthday sometime later this summer, after we are settled into a new house in the Valley.

But, we did have a small celebration with just us (Steph, Lisa, and Lisa's mom) on his birthday. We started with a morning juice and cupcakes and a candle, as well as inflatable dinosaurs and balloons accompanied by a rousing round of "Happy Birthday". Then, we "boinged" (went downstairs) to open up birthday cards and presents from everyone.

Then, Lisa's mom treated everyone to dinner at "our place", Diego's in Redmond.... YUM!

First Visit with my Cousin Tycho

We made an impromptu visit to Portland, when we decided to escort my Mormor back across the pass, and we stopped by to meet my new cousin Tycho in Portland, for the first time! I took right to my Aunt Gabrielle (my moms think it's because she has red hair like my Mommy, Steph). We also noticed that Tycho really took to my Mommy (Steph) probably because she has red hair, too! But, my Uncle Per was a little scary to me -- like a great big GIANT! I really liked my new cousin Tycho. I love babies -- even though he's already almost as big as me!

And, my aunt and uncle even had birthday presents there waiting for me! How fun! These photos are courtesy of my Mormor, since we didn't have our camera with us! My Mor (Lisa) said that holding baby Tycho reminded her of holding her "baby" brother Per (my uncle, the TALL one) many years ago!
