Toddler Playtime

I got to go to the Toddler Playtime again, but I wasn't feeling all together well yet. So, I got tired quickly and we had to leave before any other kids came to play. But, here are some pictures of me on the tumbling mats and kicking some balls around. I wasn't quite as excited about it all this time, because I still have sick bugs in me. We'll try again when I'm all better!

Sick, again....

After my Mommy (Steph) had walking pneumonia, my Mor and I thought we were in the clear, since we didn't get sick.... but, I got sick last week. First a cold, and then my doctor said I got a secondary infection of a sinus infection along with either bronchitis or pneumonia. I've been taking antibiotics and cold medicine for the past week and I'm just starting to get better.

My Mor took some pictures of me when I wasn't very happy about it. But, here they are anyway!

I got new rubber fireman boots that I like to wear around the house, even when I don't have anything else on! And, I got a new pirate bath robe, but I'm not too sure about it yet. I love to climb, especially on ladders. I was playing with my toy dinosaurs on one of the ladder steps.

Future Soccer Star!

I've been having a rough week... my eye teeth (incisors) are all coming in and they HURT!

I also got my first hair cut. My Mor (Lisa) did it, to try to promote more hair growth. I only got a trim of the top and back (where my hair was the longest). I was a little nervous about what was happening. My silly Mor even saved a couple of cut locks in a zip lock snack bag! She said that she still has a lock of hair from her first haircut, too!

I've been learning new words, but I think only my Moms understand me when I'm talking, because I tend to shorten words... like:
"tar" for "star"
"keey" for "kitty"
"deeth" for "teeth"
"inky" for "binky"
"guck" for "duck" (Go Gucks!)
a soft "no" for "snow"
"Cho" for "Nacho" (one of the dogs)
"sat" for "what's that"
"dis" for "this"
"der" for "peanut butter"
"eeese" for "please"
But, I say "Mom" and "juice" (for any / all liquids) and "uh-oh" and "NO" very clearly!

I got to go to a Toddler Activity Group at the local recreation center this week, but I was the only toddler there! But, I had fun anyway on the tumbling mats and kicking and throwing balls around. My moms said they are going to video tape me kicking the ball next week, because they think I'm a future soccer star! Here are some pictures my Mor (Lisa) took of me on her cell phone. They are a bit blurry because I was so FAST! I was so worn out, I took a second nap that day!

Washing Dishes

I love water... but sometimes my Mor (Lisa) says that I get a little too wild when I play - I mean, wash dishes - in the sink. She said she's going to build me a special water table with a pump to play with OUTSIDE, this Summer.... because she said that I don't seem to understand what "keep it IN the sink, please" means! In this last picture, I'm saying, "uh-oh"!

Team Diversity

Mommy (Steph) is trying some team diversity and allowing me to support a non-Ducks team... at least when it's not NCAA football season! But, I'll be wearing Ducks stuff on Monday, the 10th for the big bowl game!
My aunt Andrea (and cousin Riley) sent me this Gonzaga t-shirt in my big Christmas box! And even my Mommy admitted that they have a really good basketball team! Go Zags!

It's a Dino Dan Christmas!

Phoenix's favorite show  on TV right now is Dino Dan (on Nick Jr.). He is a bit obsessed with it... and dinosaurs. But he calls all of the dinosaurs "Dan(s)". Needless to say most the gifts we got for him were in a dino-theme (puzzles and dino toys).

He wore a pair of Yo Gabba Gabba big boy underwear for a few minutes after his bath and enjoyed them so much that he wanted them on again (over his diapers!)... but, no pants!

We went ahead and opened gifts a couple of days early since Mommy (Steph) is working Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (double shifts).

Our ChristmasTree

Last week we went deep into the snowy woods to find and cut down a tree. I'm just not too sure about the snow yet (a little too cold and wet for me)! The snow was pretty deep! So, my Mommy (Steph) cut the tree (with help from one of my little dogs, Sable) after my Mor and I picked it out. We watched her from the Tahoe! Then my Mommies worked together to lift it to the top of the Tahoe and tie it down for our trip back home.

We didn't get as big of a Christmas tree as we did last year.... but, I still like it! Especially all of the pretty lights.

My Mommies said we wouldn't be hanging all of the ornaments this year... probably because I like taking them all off to "look" at them, and I'm just like my Mor (Lisa) because I have to touch / hold things to "look" at them!

I gathered all of the bells from the tree and stashed them in the "trunk" of my ride-on busy car!

M&Ms and Ramen Noodles = YUM!

I'm still practicing feeding myself with utensils... I mostly use my hands (and my mommies say I'm not so good at that, either... but, I try!). Here I am eating M&Ms - they DO melt in your hands, and your face, and everywhere and Ramen Noodles. I tried using my fork, but I ended up shoveling noodles in my mouth with my hands. So, my Mor (Lisa) who was taking these pictures had to stop to help me! Yes, I got to eat my M&M's first!

Hats...

I have several hats, but I don't like wearing them. But, I DO like wearing other things on my head, including: my Mor's (Lisa's) hair thing, my Viking helmet, my hot pink felt skull Halloween bucket, and even Mommy's hat! Still need to get pics of the pink bucket!
