It's a Dino Dan Christmas!

Phoenix's favorite show  on TV right now is Dino Dan (on Nick Jr.). He is a bit obsessed with it... and dinosaurs. But he calls all of the dinosaurs "Dan(s)". Needless to say most the gifts we got for him were in a dino-theme (puzzles and dino toys).

He wore a pair of Yo Gabba Gabba big boy underwear for a few minutes after his bath and enjoyed them so much that he wanted them on again (over his diapers!)... but, no pants!

We went ahead and opened gifts a couple of days early since Mommy (Steph) is working Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (double shifts).

Our ChristmasTree

Last week we went deep into the snowy woods to find and cut down a tree. I'm just not too sure about the snow yet (a little too cold and wet for me)! The snow was pretty deep! So, my Mommy (Steph) cut the tree (with help from one of my little dogs, Sable) after my Mor and I picked it out. We watched her from the Tahoe! Then my Mommies worked together to lift it to the top of the Tahoe and tie it down for our trip back home.

We didn't get as big of a Christmas tree as we did last year.... but, I still like it! Especially all of the pretty lights.

My Mommies said we wouldn't be hanging all of the ornaments this year... probably because I like taking them all off to "look" at them, and I'm just like my Mor (Lisa) because I have to touch / hold things to "look" at them!

I gathered all of the bells from the tree and stashed them in the "trunk" of my ride-on busy car!

M&Ms and Ramen Noodles = YUM!

I'm still practicing feeding myself with utensils... I mostly use my hands (and my mommies say I'm not so good at that, either... but, I try!). Here I am eating M&Ms - they DO melt in your hands, and your face, and everywhere and Ramen Noodles. I tried using my fork, but I ended up shoveling noodles in my mouth with my hands. So, my Mor (Lisa) who was taking these pictures had to stop to help me! Yes, I got to eat my M&M's first!

Hats...

I have several hats, but I don't like wearing them. But, I DO like wearing other things on my head, including: my Mor's (Lisa's) hair thing, my Viking helmet, my hot pink felt skull Halloween bucket, and even Mommy's hat! Still need to get pics of the pink bucket!

More Cooking with Mommy...

I'm really loving my "learning tower". Here I am "helping" Mommy (Steph) make some soup. Really, I'm just sampling the cheese, after stirring it all up! YUM!

Thanksgiving Visit!

We had a small Thanksgiving dinner at home, because my Mommy (Steph) had to work. But, my Mormor, Morfar, and Aunt Anna Maria and Uncle Dimitri came for a brief overnight visit, the day after Thanksgiving. I haven't seen everyone for a while (and I was still trying to get over a cold) so I might not have been the best host -- I was acting shy and a bit on the cranky side! But, I was sad when everyone left! I really enjoyed playing with Anna Maria! And Mormor brought me a bunch of wood puzzles that my Mor (Lisa), my Uncle Per, and my Aunt Anna Maria played with when they were little! And, also some of my Mor's old / "classic" children's books and a "vintage" Little People farm set that she used to play with too!! Fun!

New Learning Tower

We went to the thrift store yesterday and found this hand made version of the Learning Tower with a removable, height adjusting platform, that my Mommies wanted to get for me. My Mor wants to add some extra bracing / supports and paint it red, but I got to try it out first! After I had my snack, I helped Mommy make brownies!

Cooking with Mommy

Sometimes I get to "help" Mommy cook. I get to stir the pot, if I'm careful!

At the Beach near Coos Bay, OR

I think this is the first time Phoenix has actually been ON the beach... we've driven by, but had yet to get out to let him experience it! Unfortunately, his first experience was on a cold, wet, and windy day.... we'll definitely need to go again next Summer when it's warmer (and dry). He really loves playing in water, but not when it's ice cold! And, he doesn't seem to like wet sand on his hands!

But, he was a sport and touched all kinds of seaweed and shells and rocks before his hands just got too cold and we had to put his mittens on.

He was bundled in layers and actually kept very dry (except for his hands)!

Phoenix chased the seagulls with the dogs and then when he was worn out, he got back in his wagon for a ride back to the car!
